XELKOM is the combination of two Wolof ( African language from Senegal) words: “XEL (mind, intelligence, brainpower) and KOM ( Wealth, prosperity, success). Indeed our brainpower is our wealth. We are rich beyond measure. Together, let’s build greatness. The essence of Xelkom is embedded in Ubuntu philosophy; “I am a person through other people. My humanity is tied to yours”.

Our Founder: Dr. Abdoulaye Mbengue

Dr. Abdoulaye Mbengue is a globally recognized leadership coach with over four decades of experience in executive coaching, business strategy, team building, and cross-cultural management. He has worked with leaders from Fortune 500 companies, international organizations, and government agencies, transforming their organizations through his unifying leadership framework. Dr. Mbengue serves as the Founder and Executive Director of the Xelkom Institute, Dean of Business at Osiri University, Pan-African Diplomatic Coordinator and Chair of the 2024 National Black Business Conference. He also a Board Member of The World Conference of Mayors, a former Director of The Mayor John Smith Leadership Institute. Moreover, he serves as a professor of leadership and strategy at various universities across the globe.
